Tradescantia fluminensis ‘Nanouk’ (Wandering Dude)

Tradescantia fluminensis ‘Nanouk,’ also known as Wandering Dude, showcases medium-green leaves striped with shades of cream and pink. The undersides of the foliage contrast beautifully in magenta-purple, creating a vibrant display from every angle. With relatively low care needs, ‘Nanouk’ thrives in bright light, making it a fantastic choice for desks and tabletops—or hang it up so you can admire its colorful backsides from below.

This variety stands out among inch plants thanks to its larger leaves and more abundant variegation. Easy to grow and eye-catching, Tradescantia ‘Nanouk’ adds a cheerful pop of color to both home and office environments.

Tradescantias Basic Care: Easy

Water: Allow the top 1 inch of soil to dry between watering. Be mindful not to overwater or let the soil dry out completely.

Light: Thrives in bright to medium indirect light but can adapt to low light conditions if trained.

Soil/Drainage: Tolerates most houseplant soils; a standard indoor houseplant soil will work well.

Temperature/Humidity: Performs well in average room temperature and humidity levels.

Order & Shipping Info:
-Plants ship in a grower's pot, fully rooted.
-We ship every Monday and Tuesday (excluding holidays) to avoid weekend delays.
-Our photos show what you can expect, but each plant is unique and may look slightly different upon arrival.
-Minor damage during shipping is entirely normal and should be expected, especially in extreme summer or winter temperatures. Don’t worry—damaged foliage can be trimmed away and will not affect the plant's root system or overall health.
-Hold off on watering if the soil is still moist, and wait 2-4 weeks before repotting or fertilizing. This patience will help your plant adjust smoothly without going into shock.
